Python / Qt Desktop Engineer

What you could work on

• Develop device connection and experiment controls.
• Implement signal display, recording and playback.
• Integrate algorithms and communications with error handling.
• Implement device status, parameters, waveforms, event markers, recording, playback and export, handling threads and errors.
• Document the research or engineering process, maintain versions and evidence, and make results reviewable.
• Review, integrate and improve work with relevant teams to advance project milestones.

What we are looking for

• Education: Bachelor’s or above. Relevant fields include computer science, software, electronics or biomedical engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: At least one year of relevant experience.
• Python and Qt or PySide.
• Threads, queues and network or serial communications.
• Charts, files and desktop packaging and debugging.
• Know Qt signals and slots, network or serial communication and Windows packaging; PyQtGraph or SDK integration is helpful.
• Explain your individual contribution clearly and work carefully across disciplines.

Helpful experience

• Real-time instruments or EEG software.
• Plotting libraries and SDK integration.
