Software Engineer – GCP & Python

This hybrid role is based in Taipei. Beyond your technical expertise, fluent English communication is a key requirement, alongside intermediate Mandarin proficiency.

Join BI | DMP Tech and contribute to strengthening an internal data platform that enables teams across the organisation to publish, discover, govern, request access to, and consume data products.

The platform provides services for metadata management, data discoverability, access management, governance, and self-service capabilities.

As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to both the backend services and cloud-based foundation of the platform. This role combines software development with modern cloud and platform technologies to support how data products are managed and consumed across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities 1. Data Platform Development

• Contribute to the development and improvement of the internal data platform.
• Support capabilities that enable teams to publish, discover, govern, request access to, and consume data products.
• Develop and maintain platform services for metadata management, discoverability, access management, governance, and self-service.

2. Cloud Platform & Software Delivery

• Contribute to the delivery and operation of the platform in a modern cloud environment.
• Support the platform’s cloud infrastructure and deployment processes.
• Help maintain consistent and automated delivery of platform services and infrastructure changes.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Backend Development: Practical experience with Python, SQL, and REST APIs.
• Cloud: Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Container Orchestration: Experience with Kubernetes and confidence working in modern cloud environments.
• Infrastructure as Code: Experience with Terraform.
• CI/CD: Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.
• Language: Professional proficiency in English & Mandarin.
