Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with programming in Java or Kotlin.
• 2 years of experience in Android development.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Experience building applications and APIs.
• Excellent system design skills.
• Passionate about building a platform and ecosystem.
• Passionate about providing great developer and user experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive design, implementation, and delivery for user-visible features on Android for devices like Foldables, Tablets, etc.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, User Experience (UX), application teams, and external partners to build and improve system-level windowing framework functionality.
• Design and implement new tools and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for developers in AndroidX and other API surfaces to allow creating applications for large screen and foldable devices.
• Work with hardware product teams to ship the next generation of Google and Android devices.
