Software Engineer (Python & AWS)

This hybrid role is based in Taipei. Beyond your technical expertise, fluent English & Mandarin communication skills are key requirements.

In this role, you will focus on designing and maintaining scalable process automation solutions within a serverless AWS architecture. You will build event-driven workflows that connect multiple internal and external systems, ensuring reliable data integration across diverse databases and data formats. This position offers the opportunity to work with modern cloud-native technologies in a collaborative, international environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable process automation solutions primarily using Python within a serverless architecture.
• Event-Driven Orchestration: Orchestrate event-driven workflows utilizing AWS services such as Lambda, EventBridge, S3, and CloudWatch (with occasional usage of GCP).
• System Integration: Build and manage integrations with external and internal systems via APIs, handling data structures including JSON, XML, and CSV.
• Database Connectivity: Connect and query diverse database environments, specifically MySQL, Postgres, and Snowflake, to ensure accurate and reliable data flow.
• Code Quality & Collaboration: Ensure code quality, version control, and team collaboration using GitHub.

Requirements:

• Strong, professional-level proficiency in Python development; basic experience with Node.js is advantageous.
• Solid, hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, specifically Lambda, EventBridge, S3, CloudWatch, and IAM.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, and version control using GitHub.
• Understanding of container technologies, specifically Podman.
• Experience connecting to and querying relational and cloud data warehouse environments (MySQL, Postgres, Snowflake).
• Good English skills, both written and spoken, for communication with international teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• First experience with AWS Bedrock and/or GCP Vertex.
