Senior Full Stack Engineer (React + Java)

About The Role In this role, you will help shape dealer-facing digital products for the largest and fastest-growing automotive marketplace, supporting a mission built on trust and transparency. You will lead the development of dealer dashboards, configuration tools, and CRM-integrated experiences, while contributing to backend services used daily by thousands of dealerships.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive frontend architecture and implementation across dealer-facing products, ensuring high standards of quality, performance, and accessibility
• Design and build modern React and Remix applications as the team transitions to a server-side-rendered architecture
• Contribute to Java/Spring Boot microservices that power dealer configuration, lead delivery, and CRM integrations when backend needs arise
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to take projects from concept through technical design, implementation, testing, and launch
• Mentor and elevate fellow engineers through thoughtful code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing
• Participate in operational excellence initiatives to ensure the reliability of team-owned services
• Proactively identify opportunities to reduce tech debt, improve developer experience, and modernize the codebase

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience in a professional environment
• Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript, with the ability to take full ownership of complex frontend systems
• 2+ years of hands-on development experience with Java
• Experience with server-side rendering frameworks; hands-on experience with Remix is a strong advantage
• Working knowledge of SQL, with the ability to navigate, debug, and contribute to data-related functionality
• Practical understanding of RESTful APIs, distributed systems, and microservice architecture
• Experience with AWS services and cloud-based infrastructure
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis
• Hands-on experience leveraging AI coding tools to accelerate development (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor)
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to break down ambiguous problems into clear technical plans
