We are looking for a Senior Python Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in backend development and solid hands-on experience with Angular to join a project focused on AI-driven automation in the insurance domain, specifically building a system for submission processing and document automation. This is not a backend-only role - the candidate is expected to actively contribute to both frontend and backend development.
Kindly note that this role supports remote work, but only from within Ukraine.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend applications using Python
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices
- Design systems to reduce risks related to availability, latency, and efficiency
- Work with relational and non-relational databases (SQL/NoSQL) and optimize performance
- Contribute to architectural discussions with a focus on scalability and maintainability
- Support CI/CD processes and production deployments
- Apply Prompt Engineering techniques in real-world use cases for insurance process automation
- Deploy and manage applications using Docker / Container Apps via Azure DevOps pipelines
- Apply SRE best practices, define and monitor SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets
- Implement observability through monitoring, logging, and tracing
- Automate operational processes to reduce manual effort and mitigate performance and availability risks
Requirements
- 3+ years of Python development experience
- Commercial experience with Angular
- Strong knowledge of Python frameworks (Django, FastAPI, Flask)
- Experience with REST APIs and API documentation tools such as Swagger
- Experience designing and maintaining production-grade systems
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
- Solid understanding of OOP, design patterns, and clean architecture
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Prompt Engineering, GPT, OCR / Document Intelligence, Azure AI Services, and Vector stores
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools
- Understanding of SLIs/SLOs, reliability principles, system performance, scalability, and availability
- Experience working in Agile environments
- English: Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher
Nice to have
- Experience with high-load systems
- Knowledge of asynchronous programming
- Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Understanding of DevOps practice
- Background in the insurance domain
