SQL Server Administrator

We are looking for a skilled SQL Server Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of database administration, including performance tuning and maintenance, along with strong expertise in SQL Server technologies. In this role, you will support the organization’s database systems, ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance.

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain SQL Server databases, ensuring performance optimization and issue resolution

Implement and maintain ETL processes, collaborating with the data team for seamless data movement across systems

Develop and maintain scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading using T-SQL or other related tools

Monitor database health to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and overall operational continuity

Solve database-related issues and fine-tune data processes for enhanced performance

Configure tools such as Microsoft Fabric to support online data processes

Assist in maintaining SAP Business Objects universes and managing Microsoft Dataverse

Inventory data assets while developing and maintaining a data dictionary and metadata repository

Design, build, and manage database models, structures, and schemas aligned with business requirements

Perform database backups and restoration processes to ensure data and server recovery capabilities

Establish and manage database security protocols, controlling grant/revoke permissions

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on database-related projects

Requirements

Expertise in SQL Server database administration, optimizations, and structures with 2+ years of relevant experience

Proficiency with ETL tools and procedures such as T-SQL, including hands-on experience in ETL workflows

Skills in troubleshooting databases, ensuring performance, and managing data quality and integrity

Clear understanding of SAP Business Objects, Microsoft Dataverse, or similar data solutions

Proficiency in using tools like Microsoft Fabric or comparable platforms

Experience with creating and enhancing metadata management systems

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills combined with excellent attention to detail

Competency in teamwork and contributing to collaborative efforts of the data team

Excellent verbal, written, and technical communication skills, including the capacity to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Self-motivated with an ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively

English language proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher

Nice to have

Experience with Azure cloud-based infrastructure

Knowledge of Big Data tools such as Azure Databricks or Apache Spark

Skills in working with SAP Business Objects

Understanding of Alteryx and its integration for data workflows

Familiarity with Oracle PL/SQL
