I signed up with Google. Can I set a password for email login?

Yes. Go to Dashboard > Settings > Security and click 'Set Password.' This lets you log in with either Google or your email and password.

I forgot my current password. How do I reset it?

On the login page, click 'Forgot password?' and enter your email address. You will receive a reset link valid for 24 hours.

How often should I change my password?

We recommend updating your password every 3-6 months, or immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

How do I stop receiving job alert emails?

Go to Dashboard > Settings > Email Preferences and toggle off 'Job Alerts.' You can also adjust the frequency instead of disabling them entirely.

I unsubscribed but still receive emails. What should I do?

Changes can take up to 24 hours to take effect. If you continue receiving emails after that, contact support@bebee.com with details of the email you received.

Can I choose which types of notifications I get by email?

Yes. Each notification category (messages, applications, profile views, reviews) can be toggled on or off independently in your email preferences.

If I set my profile to private, can employers still find me?

No. A private profile is hidden from search results and employer browsing. However, employers you have directly applied to can still see your application and profile details.

How do I remove my profile from Google search results?

Go to Dashboard > Settings > Privacy and disable 'Search Engine Indexing.' BeBee will request deindexing from major search engines. Removal from cached results may take several weeks.

What does the data sharing preference control?

It controls whether your anonymized profile data may be used for aggregated analytics and platform improvements. Disabling it opts you out of all non-essential data processing.

How long does account deletion take?

Account deletion is processed within 48 hours of confirmation. During this window you can cancel the request by logging in and clicking 'Cancel Deletion' in the banner at the top of the page.

Can I recover my account after deletion?

No. Once the 48-hour processing period ends, your account and personal data are permanently removed. This action cannot be undone. We recommend exporting your data before requesting deletion.

Is any data kept after my account is deleted?

Yes. BeBee retains minimal anonymized records required by law, such as transaction history and fraud prevention data, for up to 5 years. No personally identifiable information is kept.

What format is my data exported in?

Your data is exported as a ZIP archive containing JSON files for structured data (profile, applications, settings) and original file formats for uploads (photos, CVs). A README file inside the archive explains the contents.

How long does it take to receive my data export?

Most exports are ready within a few minutes. Large accounts with extensive message history may take up to 1 hour. You will receive an email with a download link when the export is complete.

Can I request my data without logging in?

Yes. Under GDPR, you can submit a Subject Access Request by emailing privacy@bebee.com with proof of identity. The request will be fulfilled within 30 days.

How do I remove my company's job listings from BeBee?

Go to bebee.com/opt-out, enter your corporate email address, verify with the code we send you, then select which publishers to remove. If your email domain matches the jobs directly, removal is instant.

Why do I need a corporate email?

We verify company ownership by sending a code to your corporate email. Personal emails (Gmail, Hotmail, etc.) are not accepted. This prevents unauthorized removal of job listings.

What if my email domain doesn't match the jobs?

If the match is not direct, your request will be reviewed by our team within 48 hours. You can also contact support@bebee.com for assistance.

Will new jobs be blocked after removal?

Yes. Once opt-out is complete, the domain and publisher names are added to our blocklist. Future job imports from your company will be automatically blocked.

Can I reverse the opt-out?

Yes. Contact support@bebee.com to request re-activation. Your company's jobs will start appearing again after the block is lifted.
