The role includes providing technical assistance to artists and small cultural groups, supporting fiscally sponsored projects, coordinating fieldwork and media documentation, and helping to guide a newly formed folklife consortium in Fresno.
This hybrid position requires three days per week in ACTA's Fresno office and regular in-person fieldwork across the region.

Coordinate public events, workshops, cultural asset mapping, and concerts.
Convene quarterly meetings of a local folklife advisory group.
Support media documentation, storytelling, and public communication about ACTA's work.
Bachelor's degree in a related field or comparable professional experience.
Minimum three years of experience in community-based arts, community organizing, public folklore, applied anthropology, or related work.
Deep commitment to ACTA's mission, cultural equity, and social justice.
Clear communication skills across writing, speaking, facilitation, and relationship-building.
Experience with event production, media documentation, and project organization.
Familiarity with California's cultural landscape and experience with BIPOC, multilingual, and under-resourced communities.
Spanish or another Central Valley language is a plus; lived experience as a culture bearer is highly valued.
