Role DescriptionThis is a part-time, on-site role in New York City for a Biking & Youth Development Coach / After-School Program Instructor.
The instructor will lead our 6-week marquee youth program, Switching Gears, working with middle school students through biking education, mentorship, and personal development activities.
Responsibilities include facilitating weekly sessions using an established curriculum, mentoring participants, organizing engaging activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment, and supporting program assessments.
This role involves collaboration with foundation staff, school partners, and community stakeholders to advance the foundation's mission and positively impact youth.
Experience teaching, coaching, or mentoring youth (education, sports, recreation, or community programs)
Passion for biking, physical activity, and youth empowerment
Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Basic bike mechanic skills preferred
College student or college graduate preferred (high school diploma required)
