AI Engineer (Java / Python)

Role: AI Engineer ( Java / Python)

Location : San Leandro, CA / Columbus, OH – Onsite from day 1

End client Interview will be an In person interview in San Leandro, CA / Columbus, OH locations.

Duration : Contract

Core Skill Requirements

• Proven years of strong experience in Java development, including proficiency in Spring / Spring Boot
• Proven years of experience with Python, focused on backend or data-driven development
• Strong experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs
• Strong understanding of Reactive Programming (Web Flux, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven architecture
• Database expertise in both MongoDB (NoSQL) and Oracle (RDBMS)
• Experience with Flink for stream processing and data pipelines
• GraphQL knowledge

AI / Conversational Platform Exposure

• Strong understanding of Google Dialog flow CX or similar conversational AI
• frameworks
• Exposure to LLM (Large Language Models), agentic architectures, and prompt
• engineering concepts
• Familiarity with ADK (Agent Development Kit), Playbook, or similar agentic
• frameworks
• Conceptual understanding of machine learning fundamentals and model telemetry.

Additional Skills

• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Experience with microservices architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native
• environments (OCP, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Excellent communication skills; ability to collaborate across engineering and product
• teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• Prior experience in banking, fintech, or digital assistant platforms is an advantage.
