Appliance Delivery and Installation Helper

Duties

• Assist delivery drivers in safely transporting appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, and ovens to customer locations.
• Help with unloading appliances from trucks using appropriate equipment like hand trucks and ladders.
• Support the installation process by preparing work areas, connecting plumbing and electrical components, and assembling appliances as needed.
• Follow schematics and technical instructions to ensure proper setup of appliances according to manufacturer specifications.
• Use power tools and hand tools to perform minor repairs or adjustments during installation or maintenance.
• Conduct basic troubleshooting for appliance issues related to refrigeration, electrical systems, or mechanical components.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.

Skills

• Knowledge of schematics, electrical wiring, plumbing connections, and mechanical systems related to appliances.
• Experience with ladder use for reaching high areas safely during installations or repairs.
• Familiarity with refrigeration systems, HVAC principles, and appliance repair techniques.
• Mechanical knowledge including assembly, equipment repair, and maintenance of appliances.
• Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively for installation or minor repairs.
• Customer service skills to interact professionally with clients during delivery and setup.
• Experience working with box trucks or similar delivery vehicles in a field service environment.
• Strong understanding of service technician procedures including troubleshooting and repair diagnostics.
