For our client, we are seeking a Application Development Architect (java) to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space. This role will lead technical work focused on secure, reliable systems and risk-aware execution. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action.
The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a Business Services environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $135,000 – $160,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Lead design and architecture of scalable, secure, high-performance applications
- Design and integrate agentic software architectures and robust APIs
- Define governance standards for system reliability and data security
- Translate complex business requirements into detailed technical designs
- Evaluate and recommend technologies emphasizing GCP services and cloud-native architectures
- Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to development teams
- Identify technical risks and propose mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- 5+ years of software development experience; 3-5 years in an architectural role
- Proven expertise in deploying cloud-native applications on GCP
- Strong knowledge of Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, and Serverless patterns
- Proficient in Java and Spring Boot; knowledge of additional languages like Python or Node.js
- Experience with designing data models and database technologies (Relational, NoSQL)
- Extensive experience in RESTful API design and secure development practices
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code tools, like Terraform
