A semiconductor client in the Bay Area is looking for an Application Engineer (AE) to provide technical leadership and support in the sales and support of V93000 (V93k) Semiconductor Test Systems and Applications.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience with Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), specifically utilizing Advantest's V93000 hardware and SmarTest 7 or 8 software.
This role will be critical in developing, implementing, and optimizing test solutions for next-generation high performance computing devices.
- Lead and support sales and application efforts for V93000 Semiconductor Test Systems.
- Engage in sales process activities: requirements analysis, demos, benchmarks, competitive positioning, implementation.
- Ensure product functionality and integration into customer environments.
- Analyze complex customer requirements and provide technical expertise (performance, design, optimization, test program development).
- Design and validate technical solutions aligned with customer business goals.
- Identify and manage resources and deliverables for customer solutions.
- Share emerging technologies with global technical peers.
- Influence customer decisions through technical value creation.
- Create and manage project plans for complex initiatives.
- Represent customer needs to internal teams. Deliver customer training and consultation.
Travel as needed - domestically / internationally 15%
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years in IC test or application development.
- Experience with V93000 (V93k) SmarTest 7/8 (SMT7/8) and bench instruments.
- C++ or Java programming skills.
- Develop test scripts from scratch
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- SMT8 experience
- Knowledge of VLSI and semiconductor manufacturing.
- Scripting in Perl or Python.
