Assembly Technician Level Two - Second Shift

Purpose, Scope, Organization The Assembly Technician Level - 2 will be responsible for the following elements of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic assembly: decontamination of tools or equipment; point-to-point wiring, hipot test; mechanical and electrical tool assembly with components; ability to comprehend and describe schematics/drawings. This list is not all inclusive but is representative of the jobs performed by an Assembly Technician Level - 2. This position reports to the Production Supervisor.

This is a second shift position (3:00 pm to 1:00 am)

Responsibilities The Assembly Technician – Level 2 responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. All responsibilities outlined in Assembly Technician – Level 1 job description.
2. Perform point-to-point wiring of various electrical assemblies to precise specifications.
3. Ability to integrate sub-assemblies and components into a tool build based on various instruction methods and to precise specifications. 

4. Comprehension and use of electrical and mechanical schematics, engineering releases, and flow plans. This will also require the technician to highlight oversights or inaccuracies with documentation.

1. Mechanical and electrical understanding of multiple product lines; ability to work on both electrical and mechanical assemblies and integration with limited support on one platform (e.g. SRD, Mercury, Torrent, Storm).
2. Ability to decontaminate assemblies and equipment.
3. Work in multiple environments, generally contributing to one product platform.
4. Mentor/instruct employees who are classified as Assembly Technician – Level 1. 
5. Develop the necessary skills to be promoted to Assembly Technician – Level 3.
6. Any other duties assigned by supervision.

Education / Technical: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience: A minimum of 2.5 years’ experience as an Assembly Technician – Level 1 (Shellback Semiconductor Technologies) or equivalent experience from another assembly position.
