As Assistant Controller at Conga, you will play a key leadership role within the accounting organization, supporting the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting. You’ll oversee day-to-day accounting operations, help manage the close process, and ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal controls.
This is a highly collaborative and hands-on role where you’ll partner closely with Finance, FP&A, Billing, AR, and external auditors. You’ll also help drive process improvements and scalability as the business continues to grow.

At Conga, the accounting function is foundational to how we operate and scale. The Assistant Controller ensures the accuracy and reliability of our financials, which directly impact executive decision-making, board reporting, and overall business performance.
This role is critical in managing the month-end and quarter-end close processes, supporting audit readiness, and maintaining strong internal controls. In addition, the Assistant Controller helps drive operational excellence by identifying opportunities to improve processes, shorten close cycles, and enhance reporting quality.
Simply put, this role is essential to ensuring financial discipline, compliance, and scalability across the organization.
Are you the person we’re looking for?
You bring 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and/or industry experience within a SaaS or technology company. You have deep knowledge of US GAAP and experience managing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
Leadership & team development
You have experience leading and mentoring accounting teams, fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement. You’re comfortable rolling up your sleeves while also developing others.
Technical accounting expertise.
You have a strong understanding of key accounting areas, including revenue recognition (ASC 606), accruals, and financial reporting. You are able to research and apply accounting guidance as needed.
You have a track record of improving accounting processes and implementing scalable solutions. You understand how to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while maintaining strong controls and accuracy.
You are proactive and take ownership of outcomes. You identify opportunities, propose solutions, and follow through to execution without waiting for direction.
Cross-functional partnership
You collaborate effectively with teams across Finance, Billing, AR, FP&A, and Legal to ensure alignment and accurate financial outcomes.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required; CPA strongly preferred.
