The Assistant Program Manager supports the execution of customer programs within a complex, highly regulated, and customer-driven manufacturing environment. This role combines program coordination and execution support with PMO reporting, systems, and data management responsibilities. This individual works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate program data, disciplined execution, and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Position
Responsibilities
- Support cost, schedule, scope, and risk management for assigned programs
- Maintain schedules, action logs, risk registers, and recovery plans
- Support program kickoffs, gate reviews, PMRs, tier meetings, and customer reviews
- Identify and escalate risks and issues with data-based recommendations
- Support change management activities, including ROMs and RAF/REA documentation
- Prepare and maintain program financial scorecards (revenue, margin, EAC/ETC, variances)
- Consolidate On-Time Delivery (OTD) and other program performance metrics
- Maintain standardized customer scorecards and reporting packages
- Support PMO dashboards and leadership reporting cycles
- Provide ERP/MRP administrative support, including program setup and data validation
- Maintain PMO templates, tools, and documentation
- Track PMO-level action items and support recurring cadence meetings
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, Contracts, and Business Development
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and customer flow-downs
- Maintain audit-ready documentation in accordance with AS9100, ITAR/EAR, CUI/CMMC, and security requirements

Skills & Abilities:
- Strong Organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables) and PowerPoint
- Experience working with ERP/MRP Systems
- High Attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to work effectively in a regulated environment
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance, as required. Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Operations, or related field.
- 1-4 years’ experience in program coordination, PMO support, operations, finance or manufacturing environments. Work Environment:
- Office Environment: Requires physical capability to work in an office environment including sit/stand up to 9 hours a day and use basic office tools such as a computer, copier/printer, etc. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Hours: 7:00 AM – 5 PM Monday – Thursday; Friday 7:00 AM – 4 PM with additional hours as needed to meet demand. Occasional off-shift hours may also be required to provide support to operations.
