AWS Cloud Security Engineer (Cleared)

Requirements

Must have:

- Active Security Clearance required - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) - At least 3 years of experience in cloud security or infrastructure security - Comprehensive knowledge of STIG hardening, vulnerability scanning, and remediation processes - Extensive hands-on experience with AWS security services and architecture - Strong understanding of IAM, encryption (KMS), and key management best practices - Experience with network security in AWS (VPCs, routing, firewalls) - Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash - Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or AWS CDK Python) - Familiarity with compliance frameworks like NIST 800-53, RMF, CIS Benchmarks, and FedRAMP

Responsibilities:

- Design and execute secure AWS architectures that follow security best practices - Configure and oversee IAM policies, roles, and permission boundaries adhering to least-privilege principles - Manage and implement security services including AWS GuardDuty, Security Hub, Inspector, Macie, and WAF - Develop and uphold infrastructure security controls utilizing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK Python) - Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and address vulnerabilities - Set up logging, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms with CloudTrail, CloudWatch, and centralized SIEM solutions - Engage in incident response activities for security-related events in the cloud - Automate security evaluations and compliance checks across AWS environments - Work alongside DevOps and engineering teams to integrate security into CI/CD processes (DevSecOps) - Provide responses to RFIs
