Batch Formulation Scientist

Source One is a consulting services company and we're currently looking for the following individual to work as a consultant to a global healthcare consumer products company.

To start, this individual will work 4 days per week in Skillman, NJ and one day per week in Summit, NJ. After June, they will transition to Summit 5 days per week.

Title: Batch Formulation Scientist (Contractor)

Pay Rate: $39.34/hr (W-2)

Duration: Initially through 2026 with possible extension

Hours: On-site, 8:30am to 5:00pm (Monday through Friday)

Responsibilities

• Batch Preparation:

• Formulate and prepare batches of consumer health products according to established protocols and specifications.

• Conduct experiments and trials to optimize formulations and improve product quality.

• Documentation & Compliance:

• Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of batch formulations, processes, and results in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.

• Ensure all records are up-to-date and easily retrievable for audits and quality assurance reviews.

• Quality Control:

• Monitor and evaluate batch quality throughout the production process, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to investigate and resolve any discrepancies or product issues.

• Collaboration:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, quality assurance, and production, to streamline processes and enhance product development.

• Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing improvements in laboratory practices and methodologies.

• Research & Development:

• Assist in the development of new products and formulations by conducting research and analyzing market trends.

• Stay current with industry advancements and best practices to incorporate innovative techniques into the batch preparation process.

Requirements:

• Strong lab batch experience
• Microsoft Office Suite including intermediate Excel skills
• Lab notebook management experience
• Experience handling lab equipment
• Cosmetic experience strongly preferred
• B.S. degree
