We are seeking a talented and motivated C&DH Interoperability System Manager to contribute to NASA's ambitious endeavors in deep space exploration. As NASA's leading engineering solutions provider, we collaborate with NASA at various centers across the United States, and we are thrilled to take on challenges that will inspire audiences worldwide.
As the C&DH Interoperability System Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Serving as the primary C&DH Interoperability System Manager for the Extravehicular Activity and Human Surface Mobility Program (EHP), concentrating on identifying, analyzing, and maintaining Level 2 Lunar Surface requirements for the development and performance of C&DH systems.
- Applying principles and concepts in electrical/electronics engineering, mechanical design, advanced mathematics, and computer science.
- Researching and testing electrical/electronic devices used in various technologies across different sectors, ensuring a diverse application spectrum.
- Analyzing performance requirements with a focus on safety, reliability, maintainability, and environmental impacts.
- Engaging in planning, design, testing, cost analysis, and project management for C&DH systems.
- Monitoring contracted projects both at external locations and within contractor facilities.
- Collaborating with fellow engineers on a range of technical tasks.
- Conducting studies to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of major systems, including communication and navigation technologies.
- Specifying and analyzing avionic systems for both flight and ground applications, ensuring optimal hardware and software integration.
- Leading project management efforts for avionic systems, involving negotiations with customers and ensuring technical specifications are met on time and within budget.
- Supporting requirements development, integration activities, and verification processes through collaborative input into all EHP Surface System Architectures.
- Contributing to risk assessments and program milestone reviews, ensuring alignment with overall program goals.
- Facilitating cross-discipline communication to address risks and support analyses as needed.
