Role Description This is a part-time, remote Chief Technology Officer (CTO) role. The CTO will define and drive the overall technology vision, ensuring alignment with Sentinai’s mission to support security and defense operators.

Day-to-day responsibilities include leading software architecture decisions, guiding product and platform roadmap, and overseeing core engineering practices and standards. The CTO will collaborate with product, operations, and leadership teams to prioritize features, manage technical risks, and ensure scalable, secure, and reliable systems. The role also involves mentoring technical leaders, evaluating new technologies and vendors, and representing the technology function in strategic customer or partner discussions when needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in Software Development and Architecture, with experience designing scalable, secure, and resilient systems.
  • Proven experience in IT Strategy and Project Management, including setting technical direction and delivering complex initiatives on time.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Product Development, collaborating closely with product and business stakeholders to shape and ship impactful solutions.
  • Experience leading distributed or remote engineering teams, with the ability to mentor, coach, and develop technical talent.
  • Familiarity with security, defense, or mission-critical environments, or strong interest in learning these domains.
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics to non-technical audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree or equivalent practical experience is beneficial.
