Clojure Developer

Programmers.io is currently looking for a Clojure Developer REMOTE ROLE Contract Role - Open for W2 or C2C Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain backend services using Clojure

Own features end-to-end: design, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring

Build and evolve RESTful APIs and/or event-driven systems

Apply functional programming principles (immutability, pure functions, composition) in production code

Contribute to system architecture, performance tuning, and scalability decisions

Review code and provide constructive feedback to peers

Improve build, dependency, and deployment configurations (e.g. project.clj, deps.edn)

Participate in on-call rotations and production incident resolution (if applicable) Required Qualifications 5+ years of professional software development experience

5+ years of hands-on Clojure experience in production environments

Strong understanding of functional programming concepts

Experience with common Clojure libraries and frameworks:
