Cloud Computing Engineer

SAIC seeks a Cloud Computing Engineer to join our team of professionals providing technical and program services to the U.S. Government (USG). SAIC provides research, engineering, design, analysis, acquisition, development,

integration, test, and operations support USG Intelligence Community (IC) and

Department of Defense (DoD) customers. We support development and delivery of next generation and generation after next national security systems based on land, at sea, in air, and in space.

Engineer sought here serves a USG Program Office leading Research & Development (R&D) of evolutionary, revolutionary, and transformational cloud-based architectures.

This position provides Systems Engineering & Technical Advisory (SETA) support services.

Job Description

Understanding of and experience with commercially available cloud computing services such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) and emerging cloud services. Expertise with cloud computing services and architectures.

Expertise developing and maintaining cloud computing environments.

Working knowledge of the security considerations, best practices, and implementation associated with cloud computing services and architectures.

Provide recommendations for cloud development strategies, adoption of commercial cloud services, solution architecture, and application and data migration.

Active member of enterprise R&D, learning, and innovation environment creating, gathering, and sharing knowledge to grow organizational competency and capability.

Support researchers and users on using cloud computing, integration of application and libraries, and problem resolution.
