Cloud Data Architect

Overview

Seeking an experienced Cloud Data Architect to design and build scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms across modern cloud environments.

Core Requirements

• 8+ years in Data Engineering/Architecture with 3+ years in cloud platforms
• Expertise in at least one cloud:
• AWS (S3, Redshift, Glue, EMR, Athena)
• Azure (Synapse, ADF, Data Lake, Databricks)
• GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc)
• Strong hands-on experience with Spark/Databricks and distributed data processing
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL
• Experience with Kafka/Kinesis/Pub-Sub for streaming
• Solid data modeling (Star, Snowflake, Data Vault)
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and metadata management

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end cloud data architectures (ingestion → processing → storage → consumption)
• Build scalable batch and real-time data pipelines
• Define modern data patterns (Lakehouse, Data Mesh, Streaming)
• Optimize performance, cost, and scalability of cloud data platforms
• Implement IaC (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation)
• Establish governance, security, and compliance frameworks
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into solutions
• Create architecture standards, documentation, and best practices

Nice to Have

• Cloud certifications (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
• Exposure to ML/AI platforms (SageMaker, Vertex AI, Azure ML)
• Background in regulated industries (BFSI, Healthcare)

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
