Cloud Engineer III

Requirements

Must have:

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of direct experience in cloud engineering, software engineering, platform engineering, or infrastructure engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and supporting AWS-based cloud platforms and services.
• Strong knowledge of core AWS services, particularly in compute, storage, and networking.
• Expert programming skills in Python or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with API-driven architectures for building cloud-native solutions.
• Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, including CloudFormation, Terraform, and AWS CDK.
• Solid grasp of CI/CD best practices, with practical experience utilizing GitHub Actions.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, platform services, and deployment pipelines in live environments.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, enabling effective collaboration with various engineering teams and internal clients.

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and refine cloud-native features using an API-first architecture.

• Construct and manage backend services, API endpoints, and user-facing functionalities in the internal developer portal.
• Create scalable, modular, and reusable cloud platform components for self-service provisioning and management of internal services, with a focus on AWS solutions.
• Lead the development and enhancement of AWS cloud platform attributes, ensuring security, efficiency, and adherence to enterprise guidelines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in architecture, engineering, and product teams to define technical solutions that cater to business and developer requirements.
• Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve issues related to platform and application deployments through patching, remediation, temporary solutions, or coordination with partner teams as necessary.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions leveraging AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, and AWS CDK.
• Contribute to security-first design and automated compliance strategies for cloud infrastructure and platform services.
