Cold Heading Machine

Operator 2ND Shift 2:00pm to 12:30am Mon- Thu.

Pay: 20.00-26.00-per hour (based on experience) Location: Kentwood, Michigan Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Cold Heading Machine Operator to set up, operate, and maintain cold heading equipment, including 1-die 2-blow (Hartford and Nakamashad’s) and 4- or 5-station (ChunZu and National Machinery) machines. This role ensures the efficient production of high-quality, precision-formed products that meet customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and adjust cold heading machines according to part drawings and dimensional requirements.

Monitor part dimensions and quality using assigned gauges, micrometers, and calipers.

Perform and record machine adjustments as needed to maintain product quality within tolerance.

Lubricate and grease machines regularly to ensure optimal performance.

Complete daily maintenance checklists and production reports accurately and on time.

Collaborate with supervisors and team members to maintain safety and efficiency.

Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Position Requirements

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.

Ability to read and interpret customer prints and dimensional charts.

Proficiency with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).

Capable of lifting up to 60 pounds.

Prior cold heading experience strongly preferred.
