What You'll Do
- Install commercial plumbing systems on new construction projects
- Perform underground, rough-in, top-out, and finish plumbing work
- Install sanitary waste, vent, storm, domestic water, and gas piping systems
- Set fixtures, equipment, and trim components
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
- Lay out plumbing systems according to plans and code requirements
- Coordinate work with project managers, general contractors, and other trades
- Maintain quality workmanship and job site safety standards
- Ensure installations comply with local and state plumbing codes
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of plumbing experience
- Commercial new construction experience strongly preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and perform layout work
- Knowledge of plumbing codes and installation methods
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and climbing
- Ability to work from ladders, scaffolds, and lifts
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and active construction environments
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
- Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout an entire shift
