Robert HalfThe Controller is a hands-on finance leader responsible for overseeing the company's accounting operations, owning the general ledger, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
This role plays a key part in month-end close, financial statement preparation, and financial analysis, while partnering closely with leadership to support business decision-making.

Own and manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards
Lead and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including variance analysis and management reporting
Ensure timely and accurate internal and external financial reporting
Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
Partner with FP&A and operational leaders to provide financial insights and support business decisions
Oversee cash management, including cash flow forecasting and working capital analysis
Coordinate annual audits and act as the primary point of contact for external auditors
Support system enhancements, ERP optimization, and process improvements
Manage and develop accounting staff, as applicable, while remaining directly involved in core accounting activities
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred)
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a Controller or Accounting Manager role
Strong hands-on experience with general ledger management, month-end close, and financial statement preparation
Experience in a mid-sized company or similar dynamic, fast-paced environment
Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP (or applicable accounting standards)
Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and drive process improvements
