United Kennel Club is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to lead and manage the organization's accounting operations. This position is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, compliance, and the day-to-day accounting functions of the organization.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong technical accounting expertise who can partner with leadership to support operational and financial goals.
Full-time position, in-in person.
Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and month-end close
Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Manage budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with department leaders
Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulations
Analyze financial performance and provide insights to senior leadership
Support system improvements and process optimization initiatives
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
3 to 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience with ERP system implementations or upgrades.
Experience with QuickBooks Online is preferred.
