Summary:Community LIFE is seeking a hands‑on Controller to manage and execute the organization's day‑to‑day accounting operations while ensuring accurate financial reporting and strong fiscal stewardship.
The Controller serves as the primary financial resource and contact for the organization's financial operations and reporting. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented nonprofit accounting professional who is comfortable working directly with transactions and systems, and supervising staff in a dynamic, mission‑driven environment.
The Controller will play a key role in maintaining financial stability, supporting program operations, and partnering with leadership to advance Community LIFE's impact.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; CPA or MBA Preferred.
7-10 years of accounting experience, preferably in a health care or health plan environment. 3 years supervisory experience.
Experience working with Medicare and Medicaid
Experience utilizing MAS90 / ERP100
Experience creating custom reports using a Financial Report Writer
Experience utilizing DPW's Promise System
Experience in health care billing and coding
Required Skills & Abilities:
Proficiency in the utilization of Sage or similar accounting systems, Pace Logic or similar EHRs, Microsoft365, and Power BI
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
Ability to influence and persuade professionally
Ability to accept and utilize guidance
Quality analytical and assessment competencies
