Girl Scouts of Nassau CountyGirl Scouts of Nassau County (GSNC) is seeking a Controller to partner with our Chief Financial Officer/EVP and help guide the financial strategy of our organization.
As a senior member of our finance team, the Controller plays a critical role in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and operational excellence—ensuring we remain strong, compliant, and mission-focused as we serve girls across Nassau County.
Partner with executive leadership on financial strategy, forecasting, and long-term planning
Lead accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, cash management, and monthly close
Oversee budgeting, variance analysis, and cost controls
Prepare financial statements, grant reporting, and audit materials
Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory, and funder requirements
Lead and mentor accounting staff in a collaborative environment
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including nonprofit experience
Strong budgeting, forecasting, and analytical skills
Experience with accounting systems (Abilia or similar preferred)
Clear communicator who can translate financial data into actionable insights
