Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Controller to lead our accounting operations in a high-growth, privately held SaaS company environment. This role requires a strong background in billing and accounts receivable, along with a track record of leading and developing high-performing teams. You will oversee day-to-day accounting activities, while driving process improvements, rigor, and efficiency across billing, accounts receivable, and revenue operations, and deliver actionable insights to leadership in support of the company’s growth and operational goals.
Who you are:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
8+ years of progressive and verifiable technical accounting skills
Min 5+ years working with accrual accounting for companies with annual revenue between $25MM - $100MM
Min 5+ years managing a team of 3 or more people
Strong expertise in billing and accounts receivable operations, ideally in a complex or high-volume environment
Proficiency with ERP systems, experience with Odoo a plus Skills & Attributes:

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment The Opportunity:
Oversee and perform day-to-day accounting functions, journal entries, and reconciliations
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring driving speed,
accuracy, and efficiency
Identify opportunities to improve accounting, billing, and A/R processes and implement best practices
Analyze trends, perform analysis, and present data to company executives
Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with company guidelines
Perform cash flow forecasting
Manage Payroll process, ADP, Payroll tax and compliance
File monthly B&O and quarterly L&I taxes
Billing, A/R & Revenue Operations
Oversee the full A/R cycle, including invoicing, collections, aging analysis,
account pause and grace periods
Lead all billing functions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with customer account modifications
Evaluate and optimize billing processes, systems, and controls
Manage complex and diverse billing scenarios (e.g.
Centralized
Billing, 3rd Party
Billing, and subscription or usage-based models)
Partner with Account Management, Sales, and Operations to ensure seamless workflows and maintain strong customer relationships
Leverage automation to improve efficiency and accuracy across billing and A/R functions
Develop and implement strategies to improve cash flow and reduce DSO (Days
Sales Outstanding)
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and develop an accounting team of 5, including AR, AP, and general accounting staff
Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations
