Interim Controller Consulting Engagement Location Oklahoma City OK Onsite Duration Approximately 36 months Schedule Full time Compensation 135000 150000 About NOW CFO NOW CFO is an outsourced accounting and finance firm We give businesses financial clarity and visibility through experienced consultants engaged for exactly the hours they need Our consultants step into complex environments get up to speed quickly and deliver as trusted members of the clients team About the Engagement Were partnering with an established trucking and logistics client in the Oklahoma City area on an urgent interim Controller engagement The clients accounting function is in need of a full cleanup and this consultant will step in to stabilize the function establish new processes and controls and assess whether a new ERP may be needed This is a full time onsite engagement expected to last approximately 36 months This is an interim project What Youll Do Perform a full cleanup of the accounting function and stabilize daily operationsBuild and implement new accounting processes procedures and internal controlsAssess the current ERP Great Plains and evaluate whether a new system is needed to support the business long termOwn and maintain the monthly and year end close process with GAAP compliant financial reportingManage reconciliations cash management and full cycle accounting operations including APAR payroll and general ledgerDeliver financial reporting and analysis to ownership and leadershipManage and critically review the work of the accounting team while remaining hands on with detailed accounting issuesPartner with external auditors and outside CPA as neededWhat You Bring Controller level experience requiredGreat Plains ERP experience requiredStrong ownership of monthly and year end close GAAP financial reporting reconciliations and internal controlsProven track record of stepping into disorganized environments and building process structure and controls from the ground upAbility to lead a team while still rolling up your sleeves on detailed workConfidence operating independently and partnering with ownership and senior stakeholdersAlso Helpful Trucking logistics or transportation industry experienceMulti entity or multi location accounting experienceERP implementation or system assessment experiencePrior experience in an interim or consulting capacity IND2
