Data Analyst with SQL and Python

Requirements

Must have:

- Bachelors Degree in Data Analytics, Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Business, or a related field - 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in data analysis, financial data management, or nonprofit data reporting - Proficient in Excel and experienced with data tools like Power BI, SQL, or similar platforms - Solid grasp of nonprofit financial structures and grant reporting - Ability to independently manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data validation skills - Effective communicator, capable of explaining complex data to non-technical audiences - Strong organizational, project management, and documentation skills - Ability to collaborate across departments and facilitate training or information sessions - Attention to detail and mature judgment in high-volume environments

Responsibilities:

- Collect, clean, validate, and transform financial, operational, and grant-related datasets from various systems - Prepare and deliver high-quality analytical reports, dashboards, and visualizations for nonprofit leadership in a timely manner - Develop and maintain data models, reporting pipelines, and automated workflows to assist with month-end closing, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis - Reconcile data across systems such as banking, accounting, payroll, and grants to ensure accuracy and completeness - Help clients establish KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics - Aid in grant management and federal grant reporting through precise data extraction and analysis - Provide necessary data and documentation for client audits, including reconciliations and internal reports - Collaborate with accounting, payroll, and systems teams to optimize data workflows and ensure consistent data structures - Maintain strong communication and relationships with clients and team members - Participate in ongoing professional development and education - Assist the Manager of Accounting Operations, Manager of Systems Design and Integration, and the CEO with special projects or additional assignments as needed
