Data Engineer - Quantitative & Machine Learning

Requirements

Must have:

- Over 10 years of overall experience - Proficiency in Python, Spark, PyTorch, PySpark, Java, and C++ scripting - Solid understanding of Machine Learning, Statistics, and model development including training and inference - Strong design capabilities and problem-solving abilities - Comprehensive knowledge of machine learning tools such as ML Flow, Databricks, and Snowflake on Cloud - Competent in SQL and database programming including creating views, stored procedures, and triggers, as well as optimizing performance - Understanding of RDBMS systems such as DB2, Teradata, Oracle, and Snowflake - Excellent communication and leadership skills - Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and focused on project delivery - Extensive knowledge and practical experience with Unix/Linux programming (shell and/or Perl)

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with Quantitative Strategists and Statistical Modelers to develop, refine, and execute test scenarios - Develop, run, and analyze Machine Learning and Statistical Models in a cloud environment - Identify potential enhancements for existing designs and processes - Proactively assess risks in design and development phases - Plan and oversee data and process migration between databases - Engage in multiple project discussions as a senior team member - Act as a mentor and coach for junior developers - Provide innovative ideas and thought leadership - Lead initiatives related to cloud strategy
