Responsibilities: As a Data Platform Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include: Building self-service data platform tooling and abstractions that enable teams to easily access and analyze data. Managing data lake and warehouse infrastructure to ensure scalability, security, and performance at scale. Ensuring platform reliability, security, and performance through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement data platforms that meet business needs and drive strategic goals. Developing and maintaining technical documentation and knowledge base to support platform operations and onboarding. Providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and supporting their professional development.
Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the data platform remains innovative and competitive. Designing and implementing data security and access controls to protect sensitive data and meet regulatory requirements. Ensuring data quality, integrity, and governance through data validation, data profiling, and data lineage.
