Provide technical expertise and "hands on participation in crafting, maintaining and implementing solutions.
Work on multiple projects simultaneously. Work independently and as a team lead, be responsible for working with application groups to collect requirements, crafting logical data models, crafting new database schema or re-use existing structures, resolving data movement strategy as well as data availability and recoverability.
Implement principles and data access strategy and support and guide business in data governance environment
Database Developer is required to have proven expertise in enterprise database engineering design and development:
Data Environment Oracle 12c/11g; DB2; Sybase
Data Modeling PowerDesigner; ERwin
Data Engineering PL/SQL and SQL
Modeling capabilities (Conceptual Logical Physical); expertise in data definition languages (DDL) to build database schema; applied use of third normal form (3NF)
Experience of a project lifecycle methodology (preferably agile)
The Database Developer will have:
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Computer Science; MS is desired
6+ years of experience in database analysis using Oracle PL/SQL
Understanding of Financial Services and Asset Management Industry
Demonstrate proven expertise in Oracle database administration (including RAC) of at least 6 years
Demonstrate experience working in AWS cloud platform for over 2 years. Must be AWS Certified Solutions Architect / Professional
Experience in Data Center moves to AWS Cloud platform.
Demonstrate in depth knowledge of AWS components associated with Oracle RDS environments
Basic knowledge of Python scripting
Ability to diagram and summarize according to audience; comfortably presents to a broad and diverse population
Independent and strategic problem solver; examines the entire business application from aspects of workflow and end user
Continuously reassesses decisions in view of their long term impact; supports and/or makes difficult or unpopular decisions if in the best interest of the organization
Experience in prioritizing multiple work tracks simultaneously
Promotes positive and professional work environment
