- *The Role
- Design and architect scalable database solutions, creating high-performance T-SQL stored procedures and complex schema designs.
- Take ownership of query performance tuning by analyzing execution plans, optimizing indexes, and troubleshooting database engine internals.
- Collaborate directly with Software Engineers and Data Scientists to architect seamless data flows from initial collection to executive reporting.
- Monitor system health and reliability, proactively identifying bottlenecks and implementing elegant solutions for high-availability environments.
- Gather and document technical requirements from key stakeholders, translating business needs into high-efficiency data structures.
- *What You'll Need
- 4+ years of professional experience as a SQL Server Data Engineer or Database Developer with deep T-SQL expertise.
- Mastery of Database Engine internals, including buffer pools, parallelism, indexing strategies, and execution plan analysis.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience building and managing ETL/ELT data pipelines and utilizing Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
- Technical proficiency in C#, .NET, or Python to support integrated application development and data automation.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or MIS, and the ability to work on-site 5 days a week at the St. Peters headquarters.
