The Cedarville Learning Center is looking for an individual who has a passion for Early Childhood Education, has a love for learning, and is a nurturing & caring educator. Must be able to communicate affectively with children, parents, co-workers, and administration. Willing to collaborate and share ideas with others as a team. This individual needs to be able to multi-task & keep up with the demands of a very busy Center.
Requirements for this job:
- High school diploma & at least 18 years old
- Part-Time Monday-Friday in the afternoon OR Full-Time Monday-Friday.
- Must be physically & mentally able to handle the demands of the job & pass a work physical.
- Must be willing to complete trainings required, outside of work hours.
- Must complete a background check at the State & Federal level.
- Must have basic technology skills.
- Primarily will be resoponsible for school age and preschool age children.

- Ability to act as mediator between children
- Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable
- Develop a careful and creative environment suitable for children
- Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach children
- Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
- Encourage children to interact with each other
- Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.)
- Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
- Track children’s progress and report to parents
- Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children’s background and psyche
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
A fair and competitive pay will be based on degree and experience of the candidate.
Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
