DBT Data Engineer

Requirements

Must have:

- Proven experience with DBT for constructing and managing data transformation pipelines - Solid grasp of data modeling phases (e.g., Raw, Staging, Marts or Bronze, Silver, Gold) - Proficiency in Python for data workflows, automation, or pipeline development - Familiarity with Git-based version control systems (GitHub or GitLab) - Understanding of modern AI-assisted development tools and workflows - Experience integrating AI tools into daily engineering tasks is highly preferred - Expertise in SQL - Strong SQL abilities, capable of crafting efficient queries and transformations for large datasets - Experience with modern cloud data platforms - Familiarity with contemporary cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift - Experience within AWS environments, including services like Athena, Glue, and Iceberg table formats - Clear comprehension of the distinctions between data warehouses and data lakes.

Responsibilities:

- Design, build, and sustain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure for the data platform - Develop data models and transformations utilizing DBT to assist analytics and downstream users - Collaborate with modern data warehouse platforms to structure and provide dependable data for analytics and reporting - Enforce observability, documentation, and testing within data pipelines to ensure reliability and maintainability - Work alongside technical and non-technical stakeholders to grasp business requirements and deliver effective data solutions - Contribute to enhancing the overall architecture, standards, and engineering practices of the data platform - Assist in prioritizing and managing competing requests in a fast-paced environment where data is crucial to business operations.
