Job Role: ServiceNow CMDB Developer

HCLTech is seeking an experienced ServiceNow CMDB Developer to join our growing ServiceNow practice. This is a remote opportunity for professionals who are passionate about building and maintaining a robust Configuration Management Database (CMDB), enabling IT Operations Management (ITOM), and driving enterprise-wide service visibility.

As a ServiceNow CMDB Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting CMDB solutions, ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and ITOM capabilities. You will work closely with infrastructure, cloud, application, and service management teams to ensure high-quality configuration data, compliance with CSDM standards, and seamless integration across the ServiceNow platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain CMDB solutions within ServiceNow.
• Configure and support Discovery, Service Mapping, and MID Servers.
• Implement Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE) and CMDB governance processes.
• Integrate CMDB with ITSM, ITOM, Asset Management, and cloud platforms.
• Develop Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and Flow Designer solutions.
• Build REST/SOAP integrations with enterprise applications.
• Improve data quality, service visibility, and CMDB health across the organization.
• Support platform upgrades, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align CMDB architecture with CSDM and ITIL best practices.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of ServiceNow Development experience
• Strong expertise in CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping
• Hands-on experience with ITOM and ITSM modules
• Knowledge of CSDM, IRE, and CMDB Governance
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and REST/SOAP APIs
• Experience with MID Server configuration and cloud integrations (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Understanding of ITIL processes and best practices

Preferred Skills:

• AIOps/Event Management
• HAM, SAM, SecOps, or GRC exposure
• ServiceNow certifications (CSA/CAD/CIS-ITOM

Compensation and Benefits A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
