Job Title: Software Engineer

Duration: 7 MonthsRole Overview:

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join a high-impact team responsible for supporting and scaling standardized container image platforms across the enterprise. This role plays a critical part in maintaining operational excellence by managing incident response, troubleshooting production issues, and supporting engineering teams migrating to containerized environments.

Due to increased adoption and ownership expansion across Machine Shop, PLEC, and Chainguard platforms, this position will help restore team capacity and ensure seamless platform reliability.Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and manage critical Slack support channels, ensuring timely response to incidents and engineering queries

Perform incident triage, root cause analysis, and issue resolution across containerized environments

Support and troubleshoot container image platforms used across enterprise applications

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive problem remediation and platform stability

Assist engineering teams with migration and adoption of standardized container images

Contribute to automation, CI/CD pipelines, and operational efficiency improvements

Maintain documentation and improve support processes and workflowsRequired Skills & Experience:

Must have previous client experience working for this customer in the past 5 years

Strong programming experience in Java, Python, or Node.js

Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, especially:

ECS (Elastic Container Service)

Fargate

Solid understanding of Docker and containerization concepts

Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins

Proven experience in production support, incident management, and troubleshooting

Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Qualifications:

Experience working in financial services or highly regulated environments

Exposure to container security platforms (e.g., Chainguard)

Familiarity with internal developer platforms like Machine Shop or PLEC

Experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
