Job description

About TechFocus LLC

At TechFocus, we build secure, scalable cloud and infrastructure systems for U.S. federal agencies—supporting mission-critical environments across organizations such as the Department of Defense (DoD) and civilian agencies.

You won’t be maintaining legacy systems or working on isolated environments. You’ll design and operate production cloud infrastructure at scale, where security, reliability, and performance are critical.

We are expanding our DevOps and Cloud Engineering team to support active and upcoming federal programs in cloud modernization, secure infrastructure, and mission systems.

The Role

We are building a talent pipeline of skilled DevOps and Cloud Engineers to support active and upcoming federal contracts. You will be matched to specific task orders based on your skills and clearance level.

What You'll Do

  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) for federal software programs
  • Deploy and manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS, OpenShift, Anthos) in secure government cloud
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, and AWS CDK
  • Administer AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, and GCP for FISMA-Moderate and FedRAMP-authorized systems
  • Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting using EFK stack, Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk
  • Support cybersecurity operations, including vulnerability scanning (Tenable/Nessus), STIG compliance, and ATO/SSP documentation.
  • Support incident response, disaster recovery, and continuity of operations planning

What We're Looking For

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (equivalent experience considered)
  • 3+ years of DevOps or cloud engineering in production environments
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP — ideally in government or regulated environments
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with IaC: Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent
  • Strong Linux administration and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)

Strongly Preferred

  • Experience with FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST SP 800-53, or RMF compliance
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or equivalent certification
  • Experience with Tenable Security Center or Nessus vulnerability management

Bonus Points

  • Active federal security clearance (Secret or Top Secret strongly preferred)
  • Experience with Kubernetes in production environments (EKS, AKS, or OpenShift)
  • Experience with HPC or large-scale computing environments
  • Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) implementation experience
