The RoleYou will be part of a dedicated and diverse DevOps team responsible for building and maintaining multiple environments, not only in Public Cloud, but also Hybrid Cloud environments.
You will bring cloud management and sysadmin skills for application deployment and management while assisting in build engineering activities. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be charged with owning and automating our CI/CD pipelines through lower development environments all the way to production.
Fidelity Brokerage Technology is looking for a Senior Software Engineer who has experience with delivering full-stack, cloud-based applications for the Fixed Income, FX and Syndicate suite of applications.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring (The order of these bullets does not matter)
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
5+ years of experience developing multi-tier distributed application preferred.
Solid understanding of REST APIs
Software skills working with Shell scripting, Perl, and/or Python
Must have a strong working knowledge with AWS, including services such as CloudFormation, IAM, RDS, ELB/ALB, ECS, EC2, S3, KMS
Solid grasp of Containers and Container OrchestrationGood networking skills, including understanding of L2-L4 protocol stack including routing and switching basics, firewall fundamentals, certificates, and SSL/TLS secure transport.
Strong working experience with Windows / Linux Servers
Demonstrated expertise MQ or Kafka technology to develop and support data ingestion services
Familiarity with GIT workflow for code check-ins and review
Experience with DevOps/deployment tools and techniques like Jenkins, Concourse, uDeploy, Docker etc.
Demonstrated expertise in various relational and non-relational database technologies (Ideally Oracle/Redis/Aerospike/DynamoDB)
You are comfortable working in an Agile software delivery environment, with exposure to continuous integration and continuous delivery tools.
Learning, adapting and embracing new concepts & technologies quickly and implementing them successfully.
Understanding of fundamental design principles for building a modular and scalable platform.
You build positive relationships with other team members and have excellent verbal and written communication.
Good communication skills, problem solving skills, and a highly professional demeanor are essential for this role.

As a Senior Software Engineer you will be applying your strong software development and deployment automation skills to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve Fidelity customer-facing software solutions.
