Kforce has a client that is seeking a DevOps Engineer in Chicago, IL.
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with extensive hands-on experience in Azure Cloud environments to lead and execute the migration of enterprise applications from on-premises environments to Microsoft Azure as well as support development of greenfield applications.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, deep technical expertise in Azure services, cloud migration tools, and infrastructure automation, and should have prior software development experience, preferably in .NET architecture.
DevOps Engineer will lead end-to-end migration of applications from on-premises to Azure cloud
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and other DevOps tools
Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, and Ansible
Perform cloud readiness assessments and identify application dependencies and risks
Modernize applications through rehosting, refactoring, or rearchitecting strategies
Optimize performance and cost post-migration, including scaling and resource management
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including application owners, DBAs, and compliance officers
As a DevOps Engineer, you will manage change control processes including cutover plans and rollback strategies
Support development of new Azure native applications from scratch
Hands-on experience with cloud migration tools and hybrid management using Azure environment
Proven experience with Azure infrastructure and services (VMs, SQL, Storage, Networking, AAD)
Experience in structured and unstructured data migration and validation
Familiarity with cloud security best practices and compliance requirements
Strong knowledge of IaC and automation frameworks
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Prior software development experience, preferably in .NET architecture
Experience with infrastructure automation and DevOps practices
Deep technical expertise in Azure services and cloud migration tools
Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-500)
Background in financial services or regulated industries The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role.
We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs.
This range may be modified in the future.
