DevOps Engineer

Requirements

Must have:

- Bachelors degree in engineering or a related field - 3 to 6 years of professional experience in the industry - Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures relevant to the field - Proficiency in automating software deployment using tools like Puppet, Chef, and Ansible - Experience with Jenkins for continuous integration - Capability to work with various open-source technologies and tools - Background in systems and IT operations - Strong data management skills with a focus on automation tools - Proficient in version control systems including branching and tagging with GitHub - Ability to build strong partnerships with QA and software engineers to ensure ongoing delivery of vital systems - Experience in provisioning and managing applications in virtual and cloud environments (preferably AWS and OpenStack) - Solid skills in deployment and network operations, with scripting and coding experience - Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, implement, and analyze technical products and systems - Conduct engineering design evaluations - Suggest modifications to enhance the quality of products and processes - Adhere to established instructions and guidelines to carry out job functions - Work under direct supervision, typically reporting to a manager or supervisor - Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve software issues in production - Develop monitoring solutions, maintain software, and implement fixes - Establish standards and procedures for assessing product quality and readiness for release - Recommend improvements related to testing methods and processes
