Optomi, in partnership with a leading automotive technology organization, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to build, maintain, and improve cloud infrastructure supporting large-scale microservice platforms. This person will be responsible for infrastructure automation, CI/CD, container orchestration, monitoring, production troubleshooting, and cloud resiliency.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on DevOps Engineer with strong Terraform, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, and scripting experience who is comfortable supporting highly available production environments.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Build and maintain reusable infrastructure as code using Terraform
- Manage Docker containers and Kubernetes environments
- Develop automation scripts and tools for DevOps workflows
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines
- Troubleshoot complex production and system performance issues
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions
- Support multi-region and multi-cloud environments
- Improve cloud security, resiliency, redundancy, and disaster recovery
- Participate in code reviews and infrastructure reviews
- Support production systems through an after-hours on-call rotation
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
What They’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, Platform Engineer, or Software Engineer
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform
- Production experience with Kubernetes and Docker
- Experience working with AWS and Azure
- Strong scripting experience with Python, Bash, Go, PowerShell, or a similar language
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting distributed production systems
- Monitoring and observability experience, preferably with Datadog
- Knowledge of cloud architecture, networking, security, and cost management
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

- Zero-trust networks and VPNs
- Canary deployments
- Chaos engineering
- Disaster recovery and network redundancy
Location: Plano, TX
Work Model: Hybrid, 3 days onsite per week
