Duration of Contract: Long term Description
We are seeking a senior DevOps Engineer to join our platform organization and help drive the architecture, enablement, and operational maturity of shared engineering infrastructure.
This is a hands-on senior individual contributor role focused primarily on platform architecture and enablement. The role is best suited for a senior DevOps/platform hybrid who can design reusable platform capabilities, improve developer workflows, and strengthen the reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency of cloud environments used across engineering.
You will lead complex infrastructure and developer-enablement initiatives, define team best practices, drive adoption of platform patterns across teams, and raise the standard for cloud operations, observability, and incident response. Key Responsibilities
Design and evolve reusable platform capabilities that improve developer experience, delivery consistency, and operational reliability.
Lead technical design reviews for platform and infrastructure initiatives and help drive sound architectural decisions across teams.
Define and implement team best practices for CI/CD, infrastructure automation, cloud operations, and platform guardrails.
Build and maintain scalable Infrastructure as Code patterns, shared modules, and deployment workflows that enable safe self-service.
Design and improve cloud infrastructure for reliability, scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
Lead significant DevOps and cloud operations initiatives across shared services and platform environments.
Drive observability standards through dashboards, alerting, service health instrumentation, and operational feedback loops.
Lead incident response for platform and shared-services issues and improve operational readiness through follow-up remediation and runbooks.
Build automation services and internal tooling that reduce delivery friction and improve engineering effectiveness.
Drive cross-team adoption of platform patterns, workflows, and operational standards. Tools
Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS, Terraform
CI/CD & Delivery: GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines
Containers & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS
Languages & Automation: Python, Go, Bash
Observability & Operations: logging, metrics, dashboards, alerting, and service health tooling
Developer Enablement: internal platform tooling, automation services, reusable templates, and workflow guardrails
AI-Assisted Engineering: AI-enabled tooling for scripting, troubleshooting, documentation, incident analysis, and workflow acceleration AI-Assisted Engineering and Platform Enablement
Evaluate AI-enabled tooling that can improve platform engineering workflows, operational efficiency, and developer enablement.
Identify practical uses of AI for infrastructure automation, incident analysis, troubleshooting,
documentation, and workflow acceleration.
Help define safe team patterns and guardrails for AI use in DevOps and platform engineering workflows.
Validate AI-generated infrastructure definitions, scripts, recommendations, and operational outputs before adoption.
Ensure AI-assisted workflows align with security, privacy, access control, and compliance requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong experience in DevOps, platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, or related infrastructure- focused software engineering roles.
Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms and shared infrastructure design, preferably in AWS environments.
Experience designing and improving CI/CD systems, infrastructure automation, and developer- enablement tooling.
Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, including reusable patterns and modular design, preferably with Terraform.
Experience improving reliability, observability, and operational maturity for shared services or platform environments.
Strong understanding of cloud architecture, scaling patterns, deployment safety, service reliability, and operational risk.
Experience leading technical design discussions and influencing engineering standards without formal people management responsibility.
Strong scripting and software engineering ability, preferably in Python or Go.
Experience driving incident response, remediation, and operational improvements in shared environments.
Experience analyzing and improving cloud cost efficiency and operational performance.
Preferred
Qualifications
Experience building internal platform tooling, automation services, or shared cloud services used by multiple engineering teams.
Experience with GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, Kubernetes, and EKS.
Experience designing reusable deployment templates, shared CI/CD patterns, and platform guardrails.
Experience with cross-team platform adoption and developer enablement in growing engineering organizations.
Experience defining operational standards for logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, and service health.
Experience evaluating AI-assisted engineering tools in enterprise or regulated environments.
Familiarity with compliance-aligned cloud engineering practices and secure-by-default platform patterns.
