Drupal Developer

FedTec is seeking a highly skilled Drupal Developer to lead the evolution and maintenance of the portal. This role focuses on enhancing the user experience (UI/UX), developing new functionalities for the analytics community, and ensuring the portal remains secure through continuous monitoring and proactive patching within a containerized MCaaS environment.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

Lead Drupal development and maintenance, providing full-lifecycle support including requirements clarification, functional development, and bug resolution.

Enhance UI/UX and Portal functionality to meet evolving stakeholder needs, ensuring compatibility with designated browsers.

Provide portal community support by maintaining group structures, hierarchy for dashboard access control, and user authentication .

Implement secure authentication interfaces to GSAuth (Okta) for internal users and Login.gov for external users.

Manage containerized deployments within the Multi-container As A Service (MCaaS) environment, utilizing Helm charts and YAML for Kubernetes configuration.

Ensure continuous security monitoring and apply Drupal security patches and module updates to address identified vulnerabilities.

Prepare deployment packages and technical documentation to support agile release cycles and configuration management standards.

Collaborate with Data Practitioners to provide portal admin support and help disseminate visualizations and analytics to audiences.

Basic Qualifications – Required Education, Certifications, Skills, And Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with 3+ years of professional experience.

Advanced expertise in Drupal development, including custom module development, core updates, and site maintenance.

Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Experience with containerization technologies, including Kubernetes and Docker, in cloud-hosted environments.

Familiarity with federal authentication protocols and security procedures.

Working knowledge of NIST 800-53 security controls and the RMF process.

Experience working in Agile environments using tools such as JIRA or similar backlog management platforms.
