Senior Drupal Architect (Federal) – Onsite DMV

We are seeking a

Senior Drupal Architect to lead the architecture, modernization, and governance of enterprise-level federal web platforms

. This role sits at the intersection of

Drupal engineering, content strategy, and federal compliance

, supporting high-visibility, content-heavy government systems.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Drupal architecture, configuration, and platform management
Design scalable content structures (taxonomies, workflows, metadata)
Drive large-scale content migration and modernization initiatives
Ensure full compliance with

Section 508 accessibility standards

Collaborate with federal stakeholders, communications, and public affairs teams
Oversee content governance and lifecycle management
Optimize Drupal performance, structure, and usability
Ensure adherence to federal web standards and policies

Required Qualifications

10+ years of experience with

Drupal (enterprise-level)

Proven experience working with

U.S.

Federal

Agencies (MANDATORY)

Strong expertise in

Section 508 compliance

Experience with content-heavy, large-scale web platforms
Experience working with public affairs / communications teams
Strong understanding of content governance and workflows

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with

Department of Commerce or NIST

Knowledge of standards development, conformity assessment, or lab accreditation
Experience with cross-agency federal collaboration
Background in branding, outreach, or digital communications
